If a quote is set in a paragraph, the author should try to make the
transition as smooth as possible. The quoted text is differentiated
from the main matter by quotation marks (``"). Fowler [7]
warns that ``a writer expresses himself in words that have been used
before because they give his meaning better than he can give
himself ...or because he wishes to show that he is learned or well
read. Quotations due to the last motive are ill advised ..." The
previous quote also shows the correct use of the ellipsis (...).
