The Design Report

When you are required to design or redesign a device, this report style is used to communicate exactly how the design was done. You will have to prepare such a report in your design course (MEE303) and perhaps in your engineering project course (MEE471). The design report presents why the design was undertaken, what exactly was required to be built, what choices were made and why, and finally depicts the exact design as specified by the included drawings. Table 3.3 contains the sections that are found in any good design report.
