Plagiarism

Plagiarism is the appropriation of the work of another as your own. The work need not be only the actual written text but includes the thoughts (ideas) or the inventions in the broadest sense. Plagiarism is a direct violation of not only the College's but of the scientific commununity's code of ethics. The seriousness of this trangression usually warrants that action be taken under sections 22.2 of the academic regulations of the College (available in the undergraduate calendar).
